We are pleased to have the opportunity to meet with your CEO, leadership team, and board representatives. Thank you for sending meeting day and time options. Thursday, 9/9 at 1 pm EDT will work for us and we are holding that time on our calendars. Along with myself, our COO, and some of our board directors will also plan to participate in the meeting. We hope that this meeting will allow for the free and open exchange of ideas between the two organizations.

As we plan for this meeting, we would like to know a bit more about the intentions for the recording. We understand that your board may typically record the open portions of your board meeting and recognize that this is a useful practice for organizations in many instances. This meeting, rather than being a board meeting where typical operational business is being conducted, is instead intended to allow the two organizations to discuss the training program and applicable policies, specific to the application. We hope to hear your concerns and learn more about your program and to share information about the application of the policy to a specific situation. We also hope that we will be able to exchange ideas about the anti-discrimination policy within the context of the vast array of applications received for Approved Continuing Education Provider status, by NBCC on a regular basis. These intentions and the foundational focus of the meeting on a specific ACEP provider application does not seem well-suited to recording the meeting.

We are very willing to engage in the proposed meeting, but we are not currently willing to participate in a recorded meeting call. If you will please provide an explanation of the purpose(s) of the recording, we will be able to better understand the intention of the recording and evaluate whether the recording proposal is appropriate relative to our organization's participation in the call.We think it is important to create a space for active conversation and the consideration of the specific policy imperatives relative to this application and hope that our organizations will be able to achieve this with this call.
